What is Enlighten Teeth Whitening?

Evo4 is the latest whitening treatment from Enlighten. In just three weeks you will achieve a brighter, whiter smile with long-lasting results. 

You will prepare for your Enlighten treatment by using Enlightens serum toothpaste which protects the enamel and is specifically designed to create minimal sensitivity. You can also continue to use this throughout your treatment.

For two weeks you will use the Enlighten gel each night, this is done by placing the gel into your custom trays and wearing overnight. Rinse the trays with cold water when you wake up and keep them somewhere safe and dry. Upon completion of the first two weeks of overnight treatments you will move onto your third and final week. This consists of changing to the 6% gel and wearing your trays for one hour a day for a total of seven days.

How long does enlighten teeth whitening last?

Unlike other whitening systems, with Enlighten you do not need to make any dietary sacrifices and can continue to indulge in your favourite food and drink. Enlighten state that their whitening lasts forever if their top up regime is followed;

  • Use the 16% gel to top up one night each month for the first 6 months.
  • For the next year whitening one night every two months.
  • Top up one night every 6 months or as and when you feel necessary. You can always ask your Enlighten Dentists advice regarding this.

Enlighten whitening costs £650 and this includes your enlighten whitening gels, laboratory made whitening trays which are customised to your smile, along with the dental appointments required for the fitting of your trays.

From us! Providing that your Dentist is happy to prescribe further Enlighten teeth whitening gels, then you can come to the practice to purchase these as we have them readily available. It is important to note that you must have had a dental examination  within the last 6 months and your enlighten whitening trays must be of a good fit.

Like every whitening system, Enlighten is unable to whitening any man made restorations such as veneers, crowns, inlays or fillings. Enlighten can only change the shade of your natural teeth.

Crucially, your whitening gels must be kept in the fridge in order to avoid any heat sources or direct sunlight. If the gel has been out of the fridge for seven days, then this must be discarded.
